These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Clipsmasher application ("the App") and this website. By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on supported iOS, Android or macOS devices that you own or control, for your own personal or commercial video-editing purposes, in accordance with these Terms and, where the App was obtained from a store, the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play terms.

2. Your content

You keep all rights to the videos, audio, images and other content you import into or create with the App. Because the App runs entirely on your device, we never receive, host or claim any rights over your content. You are solely responsible for the content you edit and publish, including making sure you have the necessary rights to any footage, music or images you use.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the App to create or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory or harmful;
• reverse engineer, decompile or modify the App except where permitted by law;
• redistribute, sell or sublicense the App itself, or misrepresent its origin.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

The App is free to download and use. The free tier keeps one saved project and shows a five-second countdown when the App starts. Clipsmasher Pro removes both, and is sold in two ways: an optional monthly subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase.

On iPhone and Android, payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it in your app store account settings. The Lifetime purchase is charged once and never renews, so there is nothing to cancel; because it does not renew, "Restore purchases" in the App is how you get it back after reinstalling or on another device signed in to the same store account. Buying Lifetime does not cancel a subscription you already have, and neither store cancels it for you. Refunds are handled by the app stores under their own policies, and prices may change with notice via the app stores.

On macOS, Pro is bought through Stripe and unlocked with a licence key issued to you at checkout. A licence covers a small number of installations (three at the time of writing), and reinstalling the App on the same machine uses one of them. A monthly licence stops validating when the subscription ends, and a Lifetime licence does not expire. Keep the key somewhere safe: it is what proves the purchase. Refunds for a Mac purchase are handled by us - email the address in section 9 - and a refunded or charged-back licence is revoked.

5. The App is provided "as is"

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular device will be supported. Video editing and export are resource-intensive: back up important footage before editing, as we are not responsible for data loss.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim arose.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its name, logo, design and code, is our intellectual property and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our branding.

8. Updates and availability

We may update, change or discontinue the App (or any feature of it) at any time without notice. Updates may be required for continued use.

9. Termination

This license ends automatically if you breach these Terms. You may end it at any time by uninstalling the App.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and any disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
